Many brass instrument players pay attention in terms of design and specification of mouthpiece, such as inner diameter and throat size. How about weight? I know there are mouthpieces featuring "Light Weight" and "Heavy Weight"; however, I have rarely seen weights in digital figures. I have to admit weight variance or tolerance through production.

I found an analogue scale at my place and measured my tuba mouthpieces. Please take a look the following table. (The analogue scale is not as accurate as digital scale.)

Schilke 62 is a relatively small mouthpiece but not lightest. JK5E is smaller than 4D but not lighter. Alloy, plating (silver or gold), routing and other factor could influence weight. (Hey, titanium is the way beyond light.)

I had what's called heavy weight mouthpiece (Parke Ofenloch). It should weight more.

I added BrassLab 67C and Tubaman-F Proto Type. Oh, 67C is heavy and reminds me Parke Ofenloch. On the other hand, Tubaman-F is fairly light.

Campagnolo Bora Ultra two

Campagnolo Bora Ultra twoが、またまた気になってます。

廃盤になって久しいですが、今でも憧れなのでオークションやフリーマーケットで出品があるのか見てます。時々、状態が良いものが出品されてます。

今年、ヤフオク!でBora Ultra two (Dark Label)が新品で出品されました。そして、Bright Labelが出品されてます。

興味を持ってる人たちが、出品者に以下のような質問をしています。

・チューブラーですか？クリンチャーですか？

・リムブレーキですか？ディスクですか？

・AC3ですか？

これらの質問をしている人たちは、ロードバイクを始めて3年以内かなと推測します。

Bora Ultra twoが販売されていた時、

• Boraはチューブラーのみ
• Boraはリムブレーキのみ
• Bora Ultra two, Bora Oneの時代は、まだAC3はない（ついでに言うと50mmのみ。35mmはまだ。）

でした。

掲載されている写真を見ればビードフックがないからチューブラーとわかるし、

少し調べればリムブレーキでAC3ではないことはわかると思います。

Boraがチューブラーのみの展開だったから、

• リムセメントではなくてテープにする
• Boraを諦めてMavicかZippを選ぶ

だったと思います。

私のフレームは2014年モデルで、最近の（超）ワイドリムは厳しいからBora Ultra twoはとても気になりますよ！

最近のミドルハイトリムと比べてBora Ultra twoは横風に弱くてハンドルを取られるようです。でもなぁ、新品が出品されてるとミスミスと見逃すのは惜しい！
